- Veneers
Dental veneers are wafer-thin laminates that are bonded to the front of teeth to correct shape, color, or position.
Porcelain veneers can also be made to close gaps between teeth, or to correct minor tooth misalignment.
Porcelain veneers allows for a natural and esthetic restoration with maximum tooth structure preservation.
- Crown and bridge
Crowns: Also known as caps, are lab-fabricated coverings for teeth that are broken-down, worn, or with large fillings. They can be made for one, or several teeth.
Benefits: Repair broken-down and chipped teeth Replace old broken fillings Close open gaps Improves esthetics Restores the bite
Types of crowns: Porcelain fused to metal crowns: Made of a metal core and covered with a layer of porcelain. They are made to match the existing teeth in color. They can be used for the front as well as the back teeth.
All-ceramic crowns: These crowns have a porcelain core, rather than a metal core. They are more esthetic than the porcelain fused to metal crowns, but they are less strong. For that reason, they are used mostly for the front teeth.
Gold crowns: These are the classic crowns. They are the most durable. Their use is confined to areas of the mouth that are not visible.
Bridges Bridges are lab-fabricated prosthetics made to replace one or several teeth.
Types: Bridges, like crowns, can be made using several materials. They can be made using ceramics, porcelain fused to metal, or in gold.
Benefits: Replace a missing tooth Improve esthetics Restore and maintain the bite
- Restorative dentistry and whitening
Invisible fillings
These type of filings replace old un-esthetic metal fillings with tooth colored restorations. They can be replaced with plastic dental fillings (Composite), or with porcelain inlays/onlays. The porcelain inlays/onlays are fabricated in the dental lab and cemented in the mouth with dental adhesives.
Whitening procedures Take-home bleaching: This type of whitening procedure allows you to have your teeth bleached in the convenience of your own home. A tray is fabricated from an impression of your teeth. The whitening gel is placed inside the tray and worn in the mouth for one hour per day. The procedure takes an average of two weeks to reach the desired shade. The results vary depending on the original shade and the desired shade.
